Coffee is weak or watery even on strong settings.

Safety first: Unplug the machine before removing the brew unit.

• Adjust grind finer: While the grinder is running (during a brew), adjust the grind one step finer at a time. Do not adjust when the grinder is stopped.
• Increase strength setting: Use the control panel to select a higher aroma/strength level so the grinder doses more beans.
• Clean brew unit: Remove the brew unit and rinse thoroughly. Use a soft brush to clean the metal filter screen at the top of the unit.
• Run a cleaning cycle: Use Bosch cleaning tablets to remove coffee oils from the brew path.
• If coffee remains weak: Grinder burrs may be worn and require replacement, or the grinder calibration may be off. This is an internal repair best handled by a technician.
