• Initial cleaning: Wash the Braun carafe, filter basket, and reservoir with warm soapy water and rinse well.
• Flush cycles: Run 2–3 full tanks of plain water through the machine before brewing coffee.
• Avoid covering vents: Allow odors to dissipate by keeping the area well ventilated.

If strong chemical smells persist after several uses and cleanings, discontinue use and contact Braun support.
