Coffee maker starts but stops brewing after a few seconds or brews only a small amount of coffee.

Safety: Allow the unit to cool before opening the filter basket.

• Check coffee load: Ensure you are not overfilling the Braun paper or gold‑tone filter; too much coffee can block flow.
• Clean filter basket: Remove the basket and rinse thoroughly, paying attention to the bottom outlet and drip stop valve.
• Descale: Run a full descaling cycle to clear internal restrictions, then flush with fresh water.
• Test with water only: Run a cycle with no coffee to see if the machine can complete a full pot.

If the problem persists only with coffee, adjust grind size coarser. If it persists even with water only, the flow sensor or heater assembly may require service.
