Possible Causes

Beans jammed in grinder chute, Foreign object in grinder, Worn grinder motor, Grinder motor thermal protector tripped

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the coffee maker before accessing the bean hopper or grinder area. Keep fingers away from grinder blades.

E07 indicates the grinder cannot turn properly.

  • Empty the bean hopper: Remove all beans from the Braun bean container. Check for stones or foreign objects and discard any suspect beans.
  • Clear the chute: If accessible, use a small brush to clean the grinder chute and burrs. Do not use metal tools that could damage the burrs.
  • Let the motor cool: Leave the unit unplugged for 30 minutes to allow the grinder motor's thermal protector to reset.
  • Test with fewer beans: Refill with a small amount of fresh, dry beans and try again. Avoid oily or flavored beans that can gum up the grinder.

If E07 returns or the grinder makes a humming noise without turning, the grinder motor or gear set may need replacement.
