How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the coffee maker before moving or tilting it.
E09 indicates the pump cannot build or maintain proper flow.
- Remove airlock: Fill the reservoir completely with water. Plug in the unit and start a brew cycle. Gently tap the sides of the machine and, if safe, slightly tilt it side to side to help move trapped air through the pump.
- Descale: Run a full descaling cycle to clear scale from the pump and internal lines, then flush with fresh water.
- Listen to the pump: If the pump is very loud or only hums without moving water, it may be failing.
Persistent E09 after descaling and bleeding air suggests the pump or internal check valve needs replacement.
