Possible Causes
Insufficient warm-up time, Condensation in wand, Low steam temperature, Scaled steam thermoblock
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Point the wand into an empty jug when purging; hot water and steam can splash.
Steps:
- Allow the machine to fully reach steam temperature before opening the valve.
- Open the steam valve for 5–10 seconds to purge water from the wand before steaming milk.
- Run a descale cycle to improve steam thermoblock performance.
Resolution: If steam remains weak and wet after purging and descaling, the steam thermoblock or sensor may be failing and should be tested and replaced if necessary.
