Possible Causes

Grind too coarse, Low coffee dose, Short extraction time, Low brew temperature due to sensor drift

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Normal operation; no special hazards beyond hot surfaces.

Steps:

  • Adjust the grinder to a finer setting and ensure you are dosing the recommended amount of coffee.
  • Use fresh, properly roasted beans and tamp evenly.
  • Allow the machine to fully preheat, including the portafilter and cups.
  • If shots remain weak even with correct technique, run a descale and cleaning cycle to restore proper temperature and flow.

Resolution: If performance remains poor, a technician can verify brew temperature with a thermometer and test the NTC sensor and thermostat for drift.
