Possible Causes
Worn steam valve seals, Scale buildup in valve, Damaged steam tap shaft, Loose valve nut
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Steam and hot water can cause burns. Allow the machine to cool and depressurize before service.
Steps:
- Open the steam valve fully for a few seconds to flush any debris, then close it firmly.
- If dripping continues, remove the steam knob and access the steam valve body.
- Tighten the valve packing nut slightly to compress internal seals (do not overtighten).
- If still leaking, disassemble the valve (if serviceable), descale internal parts, and replace O-rings and seals.
Resolution: Replace the entire steam valve assembly if seals are worn or the body is damaged and cannot be serviced.
