Possible Causes
Clogged sprayhead, Blocked internal tubing from scale, Failed brew solenoid valve, Clogged restrictor orifice
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the brewer. Allow it to cool; water in the tank can be near boiling.
Steps:
- 1. Remove and clean sprayhead: Unscrew the Bunn sprayhead above the brew funnel. Soak it in white vinegar or descaling solution and clear all holes with a soft brush or toothpick (do not enlarge them).
- 2. Check for flow without sprayhead: With the sprayhead removed and a container under the outlet, briefly run a brew cycle. If water flows freely, the sprayhead was the restriction.
- 3. Inspect restrictor/orifice: Many Bunn models use a small plastic or brass restrictor in the outlet path. Remove and soak in descaler to clear mineral buildup.
- 4. Test brew solenoid (if equipped): On models with a brew valve, verify the solenoid clicks during brew and that its outlet is not blocked. Clean or replace as needed.
- 5. Descale internal tubing: If flow is still weak or absent, perform a full descale of the brewer following Bunn's instructions, which helps clear internal scale in tubing and tank outlets.
