Possible Causes
Cracked silicone tubing, Loose hose clamp, Leaking tank gasket, Corroded or cracked hot water tank
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the brewer immediately. Hot water leaks can cause burns and electrical shock hazards.
Steps:
- 1. Remove exterior panels: With the unit cool and unplugged, remove the side or bottom panels to inspect the internal plumbing.
- 2. Identify leak source: Fill the tank with cold water and observe where water appears. Look closely at tubing connections, tank seams, and valves.
- 3. Tighten or replace clamps: If water seeps from a hose connection, tighten the clamp or replace it with a new stainless-steel clamp. Ensure the tubing is fully seated on the barb.
- 4. Replace cracked tubing: Any silicone or vinyl tubing that is brittle, discolored, or cracked should be replaced with high-temperature food-grade tubing of the same size.
- 5. Tank leaks: If water is leaking from a weld seam or fitting on the stainless tank, the tank assembly will usually need replacement. Do not attempt to weld or epoxy the tank.
Warning: Do not operate the brewer with an active leak; water can reach live electrical parts.
