Possible Causes
Incorrect thermistor value, Wrong replacement sensor installed, Loose sensor harness, Control board firmware issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the brewer and allow it to cool before accessing sensors.
Steps:
- 1. Confirm correct parts: If a sensor (thermistor, level probe, etc.) was recently replaced, verify that the correct Bunn part number was used for your exact model.
- 2. Inspect harness: Check the sensor wiring for pinched or reversed connectors. Ensure the connector is fully seated and oriented correctly on the control board.
- 3. Check resistance vs. temperature: Measure the sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to Bunn specifications. A significantly off value can trigger E10.
- 4. Firmware reset/update: Some commercial Bunn models allow a factory reset or firmware update via service tools. Consult Bunn technical documentation or a service technician.
- 5. Replace control board: If all sensors test correctly and wiring is good, the control board's analog input circuitry may be defective and require replacement.
Note: Do not mix sensors between different Bunn series; calibration curves may differ.
