Capresso coffee maker’s water reservoir develops a cloudy film or bad odor.

Safety first: Unplug the machine before removing the reservoir. Do not use harsh chemicals that are not food-safe.

Steps:

• Empty and rinse: Discard any standing water and rinse the reservoir with warm water.
• Clean with mild detergent: Wash the reservoir with warm soapy water using a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly.
• Descale: Run a descaling cycle through the machine to clean internal water paths.
• Use fresh water: Always use fresh, preferably filtered water and avoid leaving water in the tank for days.
• Replace if stained: If the reservoir remains cloudy or retains odor, replace it with a new Capresso water tank.
