Coffee drips onto the warming plate even when brewing is finished and the carafe is removed.

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool before removing the filter basket.

Steps:

• Remove the filter basket and clean the drip-stop mechanism thoroughly with warm soapy water. Ensure the valve moves freely and returns to the closed position.
• Check that the filter basket is not warped and seats properly when installed.
• Inspect the rubber seal on the drip-stop for cracks or deformation.

If dripping continues, the filter basket/drip-stop assembly may need replacement.
