Possible Causes

Mineral scale buildup in heating block, Clogged metal mesh filter or reusable filter, Coffee grounds blocking filter basket outlet, Partially blocked spray head or needle (single-serve models)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool before cleaning.

Cleaning and descaling:

  • Remove and thoroughly clean the filter basket, reusable filter, and carafe lid. Ensure all holes in the mesh are clear.
  • For single-serve Chefman models, remove the pod holder and clean the top and bottom needles with a paper clip or needle, being careful not to bend them.
  • Run a full descaling cycle with a 1:1 vinegar and water solution, then flush with 2–3 cycles of clean water.

If flow remains very slow, internal tubing or the heating block may be heavily scaled and require professional cleaning or replacement.
