Possible Causes
Water reservoir below minimum level, Reservoir not seated on base sensor, Faulty water level float or magnet, Level sensor in base malfunctioning
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before removing the reservoir.
Steps:
- Remove the reservoir, fill it above the MIN line, and reinstall it firmly.
- Check for cracks or leaks in the reservoir that might prevent it from holding enough water.
- Gently shake the reservoir to ensure the internal float moves freely. If stuck, soak in warm soapy water, rinse, and try again.
- Wipe the base area where the reservoir sits to remove any debris that might prevent proper seating.
If the ADD WTR message remains even with a full, properly seated reservoir, the water level sensor or reservoir assembly may need replacement.
