Possible Causes

Carafe not fully seated on warming plate, Drip-stop lever stuck in closed position, Carafe presence switch or sensor failure, Warped or damaged carafe base

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and ensure the warming plate is cool before touching.

Check carafe placement:

  • Remove the carafe and inspect the bottom for cracks or warping. Reinstall it firmly so it sits flat on the warming plate.
  • Open and close the filter basket door and observe the drip-stop lever. It should move freely when the carafe is removed and inserted.

Clean the drip-stop area:

  • Wipe away coffee residue from the drip-stop mechanism and the area where the carafe contacts the switch.

If E7 persists:

  • The carafe presence switch or drip-stop microswitch may be faulty. Replacement of the switch or the filter basket/drip-stop assembly may be required.
