Water reservoir drains even when the coffee maker is off, causing water to appear on the warming plate or counter.

Safety first: Unplug the unit and remove the reservoir.

Steps:

• Fill the reservoir and set it on a dry counter (not on the coffee maker). If it leaks, the reservoir itself is faulty and should be replaced.
• Inspect the outlet valve and O-ring for cracks or debris; clean and reseat.

If the reservoir holds water off the machine but drains when installed, the reservoir connection seal or internal tubing may be compromised and require service.
