DECAF or BOLD indicator flashes and the unit beeps but does not start brewing.

Safety first: Ensure the unit is on a stable surface and unplug if you need to clean the control panel.

• Clear selection: Press the CANCEL or POWER button to reset the selection. Then choose a standard brew size and strength combination recommended in the manual.
• Power cycle: Unplug the coffee maker for 1–2 minutes, then plug it back in and reprogram the clock and settings if needed.
• Clean buttons: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove sticky residue that may cause buttons to stick. Dry thoroughly.
• Test different modes: Try brewing on regular strength or a different size to see if the issue is limited to one button.
• Persistent flashing: If the same indicator continues to flash and prevents brewing, the keypad or control board may be failing and should be inspected by a technician.
