Possible Causes
Air in hydraulic circuit, Low water level in tank, Blocked water inlet filter, Faulty flow meter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch the machine OFF and unplug it before removing any parts. Allow the unit to cool if recently used.
Step-by-step:
- Check water tank: Remove the water tank, fill it to the MAX line with fresh water, and firmly reseat it. Ensure it clicks fully into place on the intake valve.
- Prime the circuit: Plug the machine back in, turn it ON, and if your model has a “OK” or “Start/Stop” button for priming, press and hold as instructed in the user manual until water flows steadily from the steam/hot water spout.
- Inspect inlet filter: Remove the water tank and check the small mesh filter on the tank outlet and the machine’s water intake. Rinse both under running water and gently brush away scale or debris.
- Run hot water: Place a container under the hot water/steam wand. Open the hot water knob or select hot water delivery and run water for 30–60 seconds to purge air.
- If A1 persists: The flow meter may be blocked or defective. Descale the machine thoroughly following the manufacturer’s descaling cycle. If the error remains, the flow meter or water inlet assembly likely needs replacement and should be serviced by a technician.
