Possible Causes
Blocked steam nozzle, Clogged steam valve with scale, Faulty overpressure valve, Defective steam thermoblock sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the machine. Allow at least 30 minutes for internal pressure and temperature to drop before working on the steam circuit.
- Clean steam nozzle: Remove the milk frother or steam tip. Soak it in hot water with a little food-safe detergent, then clear the holes with a pin.
- Descale: Run a full descaling cycle, ensuring you also run descaler through the steam circuit if your model supports it.
- Check steam knob: Ensure the steam/hot water knob or selector is fully opened when requested by the machine.
- Test steam: After cleaning and descaling, test steam delivery with plain water. If steam is still weak or the error returns, internal valves may be blocked.
- Service if unresolved: Internal steam valves and overpressure components should be serviced or replaced by a professional.
