Possible Causes
Faulty milk temperature sensor, Excessive scale in milk/steam circuit, Defective steam thermoblock, Control board sensor input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF, unplug, and allow the machine to cool before any inspection.
- Clean milk system: Run the automatic milk cleaning cycle (if available) or manually clean the milk carafe, suction tube, and frothing spout with warm water and food-safe detergent.
- Descale: Perform a full descaling cycle to clear scale from the steam thermoblock and milk circuit.
- Check milk temperature: Use cold milk from the refrigerator; overheated milk can cause frothing issues but should not trigger A12 repeatedly.
- If A12 continues: The temperature sensor or steam thermoblock may be defective. Internal testing and replacement should be done by a service technician.
