Possible Causes
Scaled flow meter turbine, Loose flow meter wiring connector, Faulty flow meter sensor, Severe limescale in hydraulic circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the machine before opening any covers.
- Descale the machine: If you have not descaled recently, run a full descaling cycle using De'Longhi descaler. Follow the on-screen prompts or manual instructions, ensuring you do not interrupt the cycle.
- Check water quality: Use fresh, low-mineral water (bottled or filtered) to reduce scale buildup.
- Inspect for kinks: With the machine unplugged, remove the water tank and visually inspect the water intake area and internal hoses (if accessible) for kinks or pinches that could restrict flow.
- Reset power: After descaling, unplug the machine for 5 minutes, then reconnect and test a hot water cycle to verify stable flow.
- If A2 remains: The flow meter or its wiring harness may be defective. Replacement requires opening the machine and working on the hydraulic circuit; this is best done by an authorized De'Longhi service center.
