Possible Causes

Grounds container removed with machine OFF, Miscount of brew cycles, Sticky microswitch, Faulty counter logic on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the machine before cleaning.

  • Properly empty container: Remove the grounds container only when the machine is ON and in standby, then empty and clean it.
  • Clean sensor area: Wipe the area where the container slides in and clean any coffee residue around the switch.
  • Reset by power cycle: Plug the machine back in, turn it ON, and allow it to complete startup. The counter may reset.
  • If problem repeats frequently: The microswitch or control board may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
