Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool. Do not operate without a functioning cooling fan if your Dualit model is designed with one.
Steps:
- Access fan: Remove the rear or side panel to locate the small cooling fan near the boiler or PCB.
- Clean fan: Use a soft brush and vacuum to remove dust and debris from the blades and grille. Ensure the fan spins freely by hand.
- Check connections: Verify the fan plug is firmly seated on the PCB and wires are intact.
- Test fan: If you have the skills, apply the rated DC voltage (often 12 VDC) directly to the fan to see if it runs. Replace if it does not.
Note: If the fan is good but still not powered during operation, the PCB fan driver may be faulty and the main board will need replacement.
