Possible Causes

Faulty magnetic float in water tank, Stuck or failed reed switch / Hall sensor in base, Misaligned tank not engaging sensor, Wiring fault between sensor and PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the machine before inspecting the tank area.

User checks:

  • Check tank seating: Remove and reseat the water tank firmly. Ensure it is pushed fully home and sits level.
  • Inspect float: Look inside the tank for a small plastic float. Make sure it moves freely up and down. Clean any scale or debris that may be jamming it.
  • Test with full tank: Fill the tank to the MAX line and reinstall. Some sensors only trigger when the float is sufficiently high.

Advanced checks:

  • Inspect sensor: From inside the machine base, locate the reed switch or Hall sensor aligned with the tank float. Check for damage or loose mounting.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the sensor wires are intact and firmly connected to the PCB.

Note: If the float and sensor are clean and correctly aligned but E09 persists, the sensor or main PCB may need replacement.
