How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the machine before adjusting any internal switches.

User checks:

Check all components are in place: Ensure the portafilter or capsule holder is fully locked in, the water tank is seated, and the drip tray and used capsule drawer are correctly installed.
Listen for clicks: When inserting the portafilter or closing the brew head, listen for a distinct click from the microswitch. If absent, the switch may not be actuated.

Advanced checks:

Inspect microswitches: Remove the housing around the brew head and drip tray to locate the small microswitches. Check that actuators are not broken and that switches are firmly mounted.
Test continuity: Use a multimeter to verify that each switch closes when actuated. Replace any faulty switch.
