Possible Causes

Blocked steam tip, Scale buildup in steam boiler or thermoblock, Faulty steam valve not fully opening, Weak heating element in steam circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine. Allow the steam system to cool and depressurize before removing the steam tip.

Steps:

  • Clean steam tip: Unscrew the steam tip and soak it in descaler. Use a fine needle to clear each hole.
  • Descale steam circuit: Run a descaling cycle focusing on the steam function as per Dualit instructions.
  • Check steam valve: Operate the steam knob and ensure it turns fully. If stiff or leaking, the valve may need cleaning or replacement.

Note: If steam remains weak after cleaning and descaling, the steam heater may be failing and should be tested or replaced by a technician.
