Possible Causes
Lid not fully closed on electric brewer, Faulty lid switch or magnet sensor, Misaligned lid hinge
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before manipulating mechanical parts.
- Check lid closure: Open and firmly close the lid until you feel or hear it click into place.
- Inspect for obstructions: Ensure no coffee grounds, paper, or foreign objects are preventing the lid from closing fully.
- Test switch: Gently press on the lid area where the switch is located while starting a cycle. If it works only when pressed, the switch or magnet is misaligned.
- Repair: Adjust the lid hinge screws if accessible. If the switch is broken, it must be replaced with the correct Fellow lid switch or reed sensor assembly.
