Possible Causes
NTC temperature sensor wiring damaged, NTC sensor detached from kettle bottom or boiler, Corroded connector on control board sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker or kettle and let it cool completely.
- Reset the unit: Unplug for 2–3 minutes, then plug back in and attempt to start a heat cycle.
- Check for moisture intrusion: Inspect around the handle, lid, and base for signs of water ingress. If the unit was recently submerged or heavily splashed, allow it to dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry area before retrying.
- Inspect base contacts and cord: Ensure the power cord is fully seated and the base contacts are clean and dry.
- Do not bypass sensors: Never attempt to bridge or bypass the temperature sensor; this is a critical safety component.
- If Err2 remains: The NTC sensor or its harness is likely faulty and must be replaced. This involves opening the kettle or brewer, removing the bottom plate, and swapping the sensor assembly connected to the heating plate or boiler. If you are not experienced with appliance repair, contact Fellow support or a professional technician.
