Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse, Faulty power cord, Failed power switch or control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before any inspection.
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another device and verify the circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Inspect power cord: Look for visible damage. If damaged, discontinue use immediately.
- Reseat kettle on base: For Fellow Stagg EKG or similar, ensure the kettle is properly seated on the base and that the base is on a flat surface.
- Try a different outlet: Plug directly into a wall outlet.
- If still dead: The internal fuse, power switch, or control PCB may have failed. These require opening the unit and replacing the faulty component, which should be done by a qualified technician or via Fellow service.
