Possible Causes
Heavy limescale in heater and tubing, Clogged brew basket outlet, Partially blocked water inlet screen, Weak water pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the unit to cool and unplug before cleaning internal parts.
- 1. Clean brew basket and outlet:
- Remove the brew basket and filter holder.
- Clean the outlet hole with a small brush or toothpick to remove coffee oils and grounds.
- 2. Descale the system:
- Fill the reservoir with a 1:1 vinegar and water mix.
- Run repeated brew cycles until the reservoir is empty, then flush with clean water.
- 3. Clean inlet screen:
- Inspect the reservoir base and machine inlet for a mesh screen.
- Rinse and brush away any debris or mineral deposits.
- 4. Evaluate pump performance:
- If slow brewing persists after cleaning and descaling, the pump may be weak.
- Replace the water pump if it cannot maintain normal flow.
