Coffee maker powers on but will not start brewing when the brew button is pressed.

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing switches or the control panel.

• 1. Check basic conditions:
  • Ensure the water reservoir is filled and properly seated.
  • Confirm the carafe is on the warming plate and the lid is fully closed.
• 2. Test the brew button:
  • Press the brew button firmly; observe if any indicator changes.
  • If no response, remove the front panel and test the button contacts or membrane keypad with a multimeter.
  • Replace the keypad or control panel if the button is defective.
• 3. Inspect safety switches:
  • Locate the lid and carafe microswitches.
  • Test for continuity when actuated. Replace any switch that does not change state.
• 4. Check control board relay:
  • On the main PCB, verify the brew relay clicks when the start button is pressed (test with covers in place and following electrical safety practices).
  • If the relay does not energize despite good switches and keypad, replace the control board.
