Possible Causes
Exceeded internal brew cycle count without descaling reset, Faulty descaling sensor (flow or conductivity), Corrupted control board memory, Heavy mineral buildup in heater and lines
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the unit to cool and unplug before internal inspection.
- 1. Perform a full descale:
- Fill the reservoir with a 1:1 white vinegar and water solution.
- Run the dedicated descaling program if available, or several full brew cycles without coffee grounds.
- Let the solution sit in the system for 15–20 minutes between cycles to dissolve scale.
- Flush with at least 2–3 full reservoirs of clean water.
- 2. Reset the descale indicator:
- Consult the user manual for the specific Frigidaire model's reset procedure (often holding the brew and power buttons together for several seconds).
- Perform the reset and check if E07 clears.
- 3. Inspect flow sensor (if equipped):
- Some models use a small turbine flow meter in the water line.
- Access the internal tubing and locate the flow sensor; check for debris or scale blocking the turbine.
- Clean or replace the flow sensor if it does not spin freely.
- 4. Evaluate control board:
- If E07 persists after descaling and reset, the control board's maintenance counter or sensor input may be faulty.
- Inspect the main control PCB for corrosion or damage and replace if necessary.
