How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before working on the brew group.
Corrective actions:
- Remove brew group: Open the service door and carefully remove the brew group. If it is stuck, do not force it; instead, gently wiggle while pressing the "PUSH" button on the group.
- Clean and lubricate: Rinse the brew group thoroughly, paying attention to the filter screens. Dry and apply a thin layer of food-grade silicone grease to the side rails and moving joints.
- Reset internal gears: With the brew group removed, close the door and power on the machine. Allow it to run its cycle until it stops and shows the error again, then power off. This often resets the internal drive to the home position.
- Reinstall correctly: Turn the brew group to its neutral position (funnel and piston aligned as per manual) and slide it back in until it clicks. Ensure it is fully seated.
If E04 continues, the home position microswitch or the drive gear may be damaged. These parts are inside the chassis and should be inspected and replaced by a qualified technician.
