Possible Causes

Open-circuit boiler heating element, Burned thermoblock, Loose heater wiring, Faulty power triac on main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the machine and allow it to cool completely. Do not work on live circuits.

Basic checks:

  • Power reset: Disconnect power for 5 minutes, then reconnect and test. If E09 returns immediately, proceed to internal checks.

Internal diagnostics (advanced):

  • Remove the cover to access the boiler/thermoblock.
  • Inspect wiring: Check heater terminals for burned or loose connectors and reseat or replace as needed.
  • Measure heater resistance: Using a multimeter, measure resistance across the heating element terminals. An infinite reading indicates a failed element.

If the heating element is open, replace the boiler/thermoblock assembly. If the heater tests good but E09 persists, the main control board or power triac is likely faulty and should be replaced by a professional.
