Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine before inspecting sensors.
User checks:
- Inspect water tank: Remove the tank and check that the float or magnet inside moves freely. Clean any scale or debris and ensure it is not stuck.
- Re-seat tank: Reinsert the tank firmly, making sure it is fully engaged with the machine's inlet and sensor area.
- Test without filter: If a water filter is installed, remove it and test again to rule out flow restriction or misalignment.
Sensor inspection (advanced):
- Access the area behind the tank where the reed switch or Hall sensor is located.
- Check for loose connections or broken wires.
- Use a small magnet to test the sensor: with the machine on, move the magnet near the sensor area and see if the tank-present message changes.
If the sensor does not respond, replace the reed switch/Hall sensor assembly. If E12 persists after sensor replacement, the main control board may be at fault.
