Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before accessing internal valves.
Descale and flush:
- Run a full descaling cycle to dissolve limescale in the diverter valve and rinse circuit.
- After descaling, run multiple rinse cycles to flush debris.
Valve inspection (advanced):
- Remove the cover to locate the 3-way diverter valve that directs water between brew, rinse, and waste paths.
- Check for kinks or blockages in the connected hoses.
- With the machine powered (exercise extreme caution), listen for the valve clicking when a rinse or brew cycle starts. No click may indicate a failed coil.
If the valve is mechanically stuck or the coil is open, replace the diverter valve assembly. This repair is best performed by a technician due to the complexity of the hydraulic routing.
