Machine frequently asks to descale even after descaling was just performed

Procedure:

• Repeat descale: Perform the descaling cycle again, following the Gaggia manual exactly, including all rinse steps.
• Use correct product: Use Gaggia-approved descaler; vinegar or other agents can cause incorrect detection.

If the message still appears too frequently, the flowmeter or firmware may be miscalculating usage. A technician can test the flowmeter and, if necessary, replace it or update firmware where supported.
