Possible Causes

Using too much pre-ground coffee, Very fine powder compacting in chute, Moisture in chute, Narrow chute design on some Gaggia models

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine before cleaning the chute.

Clearing the chute:

  • Open the pre-ground coffee lid and use the supplied scoop handle or a narrow brush to loosen compacted coffee.
  • Vacuum out loose grounds from the chute area.
  • Wipe the chute dry to remove any moisture.

Usage tips:

  • Use only one level scoop of pre-ground coffee per cycle.
  • Avoid very fine espresso powder; use a medium-fine grind.

If the chute continues to clog, reduce the amount of pre-ground coffee or rely on the built-in grinder.
