Clogged steam wand tip, Limescale in steam thermoblock, Blocked steam valve, Failed steam heater
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the machine to cool before handling the steam wand.
Cleaning:
- Clean tip: Unscrew the steam wand tip (if removable) and soak it in hot water with descaler. Clear the holes with a pin.
- Descale: Run a descaling cycle focusing on the steam circuit, then run steam for 30–60 seconds to flush.
If the wand remains cold and no steam is produced, the steam heater or valve may be faulty and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
