Possible Causes
Heavy scale in heater and tubing, Clogged inlet screen, Partially blocked spray head, Weak pump (on pump-driven models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before disassembly or descaling.
- 1. Descale thoroughly: Run a strong descaling cycle with a 1:1 vinegar-water mix or commercial descaler. Use the soak method (pause mid-cycle for 20–30 minutes) to dissolve internal scale.
- 2. Clean inlet screen: Remove the reservoir and clean the inlet screen at the base with a soft brush.
- 3. Clean spray head: Remove the brew basket and inspect the spray head or drip outlet. Clear any coffee grounds or mineral deposits with a toothpick and rinse.
- 4. Repeat rinse cycles: Run 2–3 full reservoirs of clean water to flush out loosened debris.
- 5. If still slow: The internal tubing or pump may be failing and may require replacement.
