How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before removing the water reservoir or filter holder.
- 1. Replace the water filter: Remove the reservoir and take out the charcoal water filter cartridge from its holder. Install a new GE-compatible water filter, soaking it in water for 10–15 minutes first if recommended.
- 2. Rinse reservoir: Rinse the reservoir thoroughly to remove any loose carbon particles.
- 3. Reset filter indicator: Press and hold the FILTER or RESET button (or follow your model’s instructions) for several seconds until the FILTER message clears.
- 4. Test flow: Run a brew cycle with water only to confirm normal flow through the new filter.
