Possible Causes
Open or misaligned service door, Broken door latch, Faulty door microswitch, Disconnected switch wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains before adjusting door mechanisms.
Door and switch checks:
- Verify closure: Ensure the front service door, grounds container door, and bean hopper lid (if monitored) are fully closed. Press gently to see if the error clears.
- Inspect latch: Check the plastic latch tabs for cracks or wear. Replace the latch or door if it no longer engages the switch actuator.
- Locate microswitch: Inside the machine, find the small switch that detects door closure. Confirm that the actuator is not bent and that the switch clicks when pressed.
- Test continuity: With a multimeter, verify that the switch changes state (open/closed) when actuated. Replace the switch if it fails.
Note: Do not bypass safety switches permanently; they protect against operation with open panels.
