How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine and ensure all milk components are cool before disassembly.
Cleaning milk system:
- Disassemble frother: Remove the milk frother, suction tube, and any detachable parts. Soak them in warm water with a food-safe detergent to dissolve milk fat.
- Clear nozzles: Use the supplied cleaning tool or a fine brush to clear all air and milk channels in the frother head.
- Run cleaning program: Many Gorenje models have a milk system cleaning cycle. Run it with a dedicated milk system cleaner.
- Check sensors and valves: If E12 remains, inspect the milk temperature sensor (often near the frother outlet) and the milk solenoid valve for wiring issues or blockages.
Note: Persistent E12 after thorough cleaning usually indicates a sensor or valve fault that requires part replacement.
