E10 is displayed and the machine refuses to brew; the door or service panel may not close properly.

Safety first: Unplug the machine before adjusting door or panel components.

• Check closure: Open and firmly close the front door or service panel. Listen for a distinct click from the latch engaging.
• Inspect for obstructions: Ensure no coffee grounds, cables, or parts are trapped between the door and the frame.
• Check hinge alignment: Gently lift the door to see if it has excessive play. If the hinges are loose, tighten the mounting screws (if accessible).
• Test microswitch actuation: With the machine unplugged and the door open, locate the small plastic pin or tab that presses the door switch. Press it manually and feel for a click. If it feels mushy or does not click, the switch may be faulty.
• Service if needed: If E10 persists despite proper closure, the door switch or latch assembly should be replaced.
