How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine and let it cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Improve ventilation: Ensure there is adequate space around the machine (especially at the rear and sides) as specified in the Grundig manual. Do not enclose it tightly in a cabinet.
- Clean vents: Use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust from ventilation slots.
- Listen for fan operation: After cooling, plug in and start a cycle. Listen at the back or side for the cooling fan. If you do not hear it, the fan may be defective.
- Service required: Replacement of the internal cooling fan or temperature sensor should be done by a qualified technician.
