How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If you smell burning plastic or see smoke, unplug immediately.
Break-in cleaning:
- Before first use, run 2–3 full reservoirs of plain water through the machine.
- Then run a cycle with a 1:1 vinegar and water solution, followed by 2–3 water-only cycles.
Inspect externally:
- Wipe the warming plate and exterior with a damp cloth to remove any residue.
If the smell persists after several cleaning cycles or smells like burning insulation, discontinue use and have the unit inspected.
