Display shows “ERR2” and the unit shuts off or refuses to start a brew.

Safety first: Unplug immediately if you smell burning or see smoke. Allow the unit to cool fully.

Check for user conditions:

• Confirm the reservoir has adequate water before brewing.
• Inspect the warming plate for discoloration or warping that may indicate overheating.

Reset attempt:

• Unplug for at least 30 minutes to allow any internal thermal cutout to reset (if self-resetting type).
• Refill with water and attempt a brew. If ERR2 returns instantly, internal protection may be permanently tripped.

Internal inspection (advanced):

• Remove the bottom cover and locate the thermal fuse attached to the heater tube or plate.
• If the fuse appears burnt or open (requires multimeter to confirm), it must be replaced with the exact temperature and current rating.

Because overheating can be a fire risk, if ERR2 persists or the thermal fuse is blown, have the heater assembly and control board inspected or replaced by a professional.
