How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before cleaning the control panel.
- Surface cleaning: Wipe the panel with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Do not allow liquid to seep around the buttons.
- Test all buttons: Note which buttons fail. If only one or two are affected, the individual tact switches may be worn.
- Dry out moisture: If the panel was recently exposed to steam or spills, leave the unit unplugged in a dry area for 24 hours and retest.
- Internal repair (advanced): Disassemble the front panel (unplugged) and inspect the small button board. Replace worn tact switches or the entire keypad board if corroded.
If multiple buttons remain unresponsive, replacing the control panel or main board is often the most reliable fix.
