Possible Causes
Faulty power cord, Blown internal fuse, Failed power switch, Open thermal fuse on heater circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before any disassembly. Do not attempt repairs if you are unfamiliar with mains voltage safety.
- Verify outlet: Test the outlet with another device. Reset any tripped breaker or GFCI.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, fraying, or crushed sections. If damaged, the cord must be replaced; do not tape or splice it.
- Check power switch: Ensure the power button is fully pressed and not stuck. On rocker-switch models, toggle it several times.
- Internal fuse (advanced): Remove the bottom cover (unplugged) and locate the internal fuse. Replace only with the same rating if blown. If it blows again, there is likely a shorted heater or board.
If the unit remains dead after fuse and cord checks, the control board or heater circuit may be open and should be diagnosed by a technician.
